Mike Lindell Faces Additional Bribery and Fraud Allegations

 SAINT PAUL, Minnesota – August 21, 2026

Shawn Towle, publisher of Minnesota’s first digital political magazine and a witness in the original election complaint against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, today refiled a portion of the original case in the Minnesota gubernatorial race and expanded its scope to include two additional charges.

The complaint centers on alleged violations of Minnesota Statute 211B.13 — Bribery, Treating, and Solicitation.

Towle is refiling the core of the original claim brought by Dan Fiskum, which Fiskum withdrew last week. Towle states that the withdrawal was made out of fear and trepidation of forces who follow Trump — a group Towle refers to as “MAGGOTS.”

“As a veteran who swore the same oath as Donald J. Trump to uphold and defend the United States Constitution against any threat, foreign or domestic, I, unlike the current occupant of the White House, truly believe that anyone willing to flout our laws to advance themselves for office is disreputable and should be summarily dismissed,” Towle said.

 The Allegations:

The complaint alleges that Lindell sought to advance his candidacy by providing something of value to voters. Although the exact monetary value remains unclear, Towle argues that the statute is clear: anything of monetary value given to voters is illegal.

The filing directly addresses Lindell’s defense in the prior Probable Cause proceedings, which Towle characterizes as the “Marty Rule” — the argument that providing anything under $5.00 is permissible.

That threshold, the complaint notes, is not in dispute when applied to an exchange between a lobbyist (petitioner) and a legislator, but it does not apply to an exchange between a candidate and a voter.

The full complaint is attached, with exhibits and supporting links in the accompanying Word document.

Those who know Towle know clearly: he has no respect for many who regularly provide political commentary, largely because it is an ignorant crowd.
