In his talk with reporters, a fully-masked Governor Tim Walz (DFL-MN) and similarly so, Lt Governor Peggy Flannagan (DFL-MN) talked with reporters after dispensing lemon bars and chocolate covered Rice Krispy bars, to the House said, he thought Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund (UI) replenishment and Frontline Worker Pay were two areas where agreement could be found early in the session. This means $2.7 million for the UI and $1 billion for workers.
Otherwise, Walz conceded he can not direct the legislature and will let them, “Do their work.”
