Whether there is an agreement or not, we believe Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) will call the legislature back in Special Session, in order to highlight the fact, he wants to provide tax relief, rebate checks tot tax payers and potentially a large number of capital projects. The impasse will be laid at the feet of Republicans, but also position them as obstructionists.
In light of the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade with the Dobbs v Jackson Woman’s Health Organization, to social contract with the citizenry seems threatened, in addition to the Donald J Trump’s (R-MN) response on January 6th. The more attention given to Republicans could have an adverse impact in November.
