Looking out a north facing window in the Minnesota State Office Building is like watching construction video. In addition to the earth moving for the foundation for the extension, we also saw the removal of the old Ford Building, which also is an access point for the tunnel system.
We wonder what would happen to the Leif Erickson statute, but he is enclosed in a box, but all of the trees are gone. Soon they will be replaced with an additional two building and this will tie together the Minnesota Capitol Complex far better. The house members may have not appreciated the building of the Senate Office Building and the DFL may have misguidedly blamed its construction for their majority loss, but this time its their efforts, which may come into account.
