Minnesota Report
This will be an interesting election season in St Paul. In spite of the Capitol City being a DFL controlled town, the city DFL is not able to hold precinct caucuses, meaning there will not be a DFL endorsement and hence no resources from the DFL State Party. Additionally, we are hearing noise about there not being any endorsement for Melvin Carter III from the trades, but its likely he will get support from the public employees unions, like AFCSME and the Teacher’s union, we know for a fact, Yan Chen (DFL-St Paul) will be fight against Carter for each endorsement.
The interesting item, we learned about the Carter Administration, was when key staff were informed about different trade affiliates no endorsement position. The response was “Doesn’t matter we’re going to win anyway.” Now, this is not a traditional Minnesotan response, because we ask, “Since when is arrogance a winning campaign strategy?”
Now we are searching out information about the holding of Madison Equities and why there were not inspected regularly by the St Paul Office of Safety and Inspections? Whose palms were being greased? When did it start and when did it end?
