Nick Muhammad, Executive Director of the Black Civic Network is preparing to announce his candidacy for Ramsey County Commissioner in the 6th District. He has been active in the local political scene helping St Paul Mayor Melvin Carter III (DFL-St Paul).
With precinct caucuses occurring on Monday, we are interested in how Muhammad’s campaign will match-up against the extreme left candidacy of Mai Chong Xiong, especially in light of the contactless caucuses. It will be a lesson to learn watching each campaigns delegate contact approaches and their use of social media and Internet resources.
In this race as in all others in Ramsey and Washington County the delegates will be driven by the endorsement fight between Congresswoman Betty McCollum (D-MN04) and the fringe candidate Amane Badhasso (We are unclear if we should put DSA here or not, but is a question people should be asking).
