It shouldn’t be a surprise to any Capitol observer, that the Senate runs on it own schedule and speed. We have noticed there are still some vacancies to be filled, specifically Legislative Assistants for a couple of members. Some voicemails are still referencing old members and finally, the committee webpages have the correct information posted.
Of course, we will point out we have had the committee information since December 19th, 2023-24 Legislative Committee Rosters and we even fielded a phone call from one of our dedicated readers acknowledging we were the only media source to have done so.
The Senate often trails the House, which is ironic since it is half the size and everything is done in the House involving members requires twice the amount of work. Efficiency is not the Senate Rule.
