Last week when Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher sent out his call to our state’s leaders was nominally responded to, at best. Senate Majority Leader Jeremy Miller (R-28, Winona) made the expected political response saying their bill they advance during the legislative session had money for crime prevention, but it largely fell on deaf ears. Governor Tim Walz (DFL-MN and House Speaker Melissa Hortman (DFL-36B, Brooklyn Park released nothing.
Additionally, there was no political response from the Walz, Scott Jensen, Keith Ellison, or Jim Schultz campaigns. Seems like a missed opportunity for someone.
