Last night’s Primary Election was not a long and drawn-out affair. It was relatively fast and seamless. We attempted to be on-hand at the Angie Craig for Governor Campaign to watch the returns and render a live stream of the event, but serious factors of incompetence and isolationism proved to be the likely reason she lost the campaign.
If you had tried repeatedly to contact the Angie Craig Campaign, you would find a phone number that was busy 24/7; that did not mean the line was full; it was an attempt to seem like there was a lot of attention. Not. They also didn’t bother to answer emails sent to the campaign, and when last night’s watch party was invite-only, with even RSVP’s for the press into a small venue, something didn’t appear at all right.
When we were asked to wait outside with the other press, but then told after doing so there was no room available, many harsh four-letter words were exchanged, and when the little punk-ass Antwan Givens truly showed how he was just a pissant gatekeeper, we left.
This poor organization is emblematic of the no-response campaign effectively run by the team of future former Congresswoman Angie Craig (D-MN02).
As expected, US Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) walked away with the evening in her bid for Governor, as did former sports broadcaster Michele Tafoya (R-MN) in the Republican Senate contest.

Now, we still contend Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan (DFL-MN) is the weaker of the two candidates, but we’ll need to see if Flanagan can overcome Michele Tafoya; doubtful, but then lightning can strike twice. In fact, we have no reason to disbelieve that Republicans crossed over and voted for Flanagan because she was the weaker candidate.

The only other contest of note was the Republican Governor’s race, and eventual winner Speaker Lisa Demuth (R-13A, Cold Spring) led all night consistently. The Republican endorsed candidate had a pathetic performance Kendall Qualls (R-MN), and the campaign many thought to watch, due to Donald J Trump’s (R) endorsement, was Mike Lindell (R-MN) was also quite subpar.
