National & Minnesota Report
To many people, who disagree with Donald J Trump (R), upon hearing the failed assassination attempt, the knee jerk reaction was, too bad they missed, but this is something unseemly to say out loud. A good person doesn’t say things like that, because it is seriously objectionable for a someone to wish harm on another. Although, when listening to Trump speak his words, he often calls for rendering harm to others, justified or not.
This constant liar should not be listened to, and he can not be believed. The Washington Post documented during his term of office 2017-2021, he rendered 30,573 false or misleading claims. If his mouth is moving he is lying.
We consider this man to be a traitor to our nation, by violating his oath of office, through both his words and his deeds, mainly by instigating the insurrection on our Nation’s Capitol on January 6, 2021. If the bulk of the Republicans in the US Senate had shown any respect to the US Constitution, and their office, he would have been impeached both times and later charge with treason.
He is fundamentally unfit for office and in spite of his 34 felony convictions, he is still eligible to run for office is a serious joke on our country and an existential threat to our democracy. He calls for changes in our ways of doing business, The Heritage Foundation back of Project 2025, is a dismantling of government, which will advance the interests of those who threaten our existence on this planet, the best example is his call for a billion dollars for his campaign from the oil and gas industry, where by filling his campaign coffers, merely funds his legal defense. Then while spouting his own vitriol, and invoking the Bible in selective manner when it best suits he seems justified. Most recently, when referencing the near miss he experienced as if it is through the grace of God he was saved, in order to carry on in his quest to “Save Our Nation.”
In the case of Trump, he invokes the biblical adage You Reap What You Sow. His calls for violence and retribution are self-created and the near miss should be a message for him to change, not be justified.
These premises may also be why Republicans spout rhetoric where they believe Democrats are weak, like lambs for the slaughter. The tenants which appear rooted in this belief system is what we here at Checks & Balances have believed for a number of decades, many conservatives, who claim to be “Christians”, tend to view the world and render judgment from a perspective, we find to be more apt from the old testament rather than the new.
Now, as the Republican National Convention opens in Milwaukee, WI, we will hear from the podium a volume of times where “good and righteous people” will lay blame for the 20-year lone old gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, a registered Republican, as a plot in someway conspired by Democrats. The lies of the serpent have their ways to seduce and infect, especially those who lack the ability to discern fact from fiction.
Remember, the majority of Trump supporters have less than a high school education so the words of the carnival barkers have impact, because it merely a show. We are reminded of when Trump contracted COVID, as far as we know, he didn’t drink bleach or take Ivermectin, but he did want to don a Superman shirt and rip his buttons open and do the Clark Kent to Superman move.
As the circus comes to home of the many barley beverages, and the supposed savior mounts the dais, we will hear the assembled raise praise and the genuflection, mostly figuratively, to the anointed one. For the false prophet has been vindicated and his survival justifies his re-assertion to the throne of power. The Democrats with falter because they are the weak. They are those who put up one of their elders as their champion to smite the foe, but he is in a lessor position, succumbing to a more feeble mind, and losing the support of the younger generations, who call for a reckoning in the name of Allah. So, evil will once again triumph and a scourge will retake the promised land.
Will the pretender, dismiss the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, and will the US Supreme Court he installed support his usurpation? Only time will tell, but will we stand and watch as the fall of another great power occurs around us, due to the ignorance of the followers of the presumptive dictator?
