Minnesota Report

Governor Tim Walz (DFL) accepted and signed all 44 pieces of the legislation passed during the 2024 legislative session making it 127 pieces in the biennial session. Last year, he only vetoed the Uber/Lyft bill. This means the communication between the governor’s office and the DFL legislative leadership was hand in glove.

The DFL Trifecta is fully in force and during the 2024 election we will see what the voters in Minnesota think about one-party rule, because this is the primary point we are hearing Republicans make. Now, with the special election in Senate District 45, and all 134 House seats up, the DFL House majority being 70-64, and eleven announced retirements, six DFL and five Republican the field is set for a dramatic result.
