Minnesota Report

As the world’s eye’s turn their attention to Minneapolis and the sentencing of convicted former police officer Derek Chauvin, the Judiciary & Public Safety Bill is still in a holding pattern because the two sides cannot find a suitable agreement. If the House Calendar moves as it is scheduled Omnibus Environment, Natural Resources, and Tourism Bill and Omnibus Jobs and Economic Growth Finance and Policy Bill are on the docket. At this stage of the process, the controversies and sticking points are metered out in the House and the Senate just sails the bills through. This gives rise to the thought, The house is the scalding hot caldron and the Senate is where the hot liquid cools.

We will continue to make the changes to our Checks & Balances Score Card as the need arises.
