National & Minnesota Report

Here is what the Federal Government has been demanding from Minnesota regarding our voter election information. This constant barrage of hostile inquiries is what has been buttressed by the diligence our state has seen from the incumbent Secretary. This is a clear example of the weaponization of the Justice Department against Donald J Trump’s real or perceived enemies.

Here is the press release response.

SAINT PAUL – On July 7, 2026, Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon received a letter from Harmeet K. Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division. On July 10, 2026, the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State issued a formal reply.

Secretary Simon issued the following statement.

“Minnesota’s elections are fair, accurate, honest, and secure. Our office has been exceedingly transparent with the Department of Justice, providing multiple detailed responses to questions about the processes we use to successfully maintain accurate voter lists. We have also been transparent with the public, creating a new section of our website (mnvotes.gov/secure) explaining these processes in detail.

At best, this latest letter is an unnecessary distraction from administering the elections that are underway across the state right now. We are already well aware of the many laws that the letter lists, and we abide by them all.

Our office and all election officials in Minnesota will continue to follow the letter of the law in administering elections.”
